Exterior Photo Rules

Rules for exterior pictures

12.1. An increased rating ("I+") is assigned in the following cases:
— Compared to previous photos, the vehicle's side number, license plate number, model designation
has changed, or the vehicle has been transferred to another company or another city.
— Compared to previous photos, the appearance and/or condition of the vehicle has changed
significantly, for example: repainting, new advertising, scrapping, and the like.
— There are no photographs of the vehicle (from any angle) taken within one year of the date of the
photograph.

12.2. A reduced rating ("I–") is given when:
— There is already an equivalent photograph of this vehicle from the same side, and the new
photograph does not show the vehicle in a better light than the existing ones. Photographs taken within
two weeks of the date of shooting are considered equivalent if there are no external changes to the
vehicle.
— It is a photograph of an ordinary incident (an accident with another vehicle in which the vehicle did
not suffer significant damage, or a breakdown) in which the vehicle is not the main subject of the
photograph. The fact of the incident itself does not give any advantages for publication; the photograph
is considered in the usual manner.

12.3. In all other cases, the basic rating "I•" is given.

12.4. Daytime and nighttime photos are not considered equivalent, i.e., a nighttime photo will not
receive an I- rating if there is a daytime photo from the same angle taken less than two weeks earlier.

12.5. In the case of photos from organized events (trips, parades, etc.), the "I-" rating is not given; the
minimum rating in this case is "I•." The criteria for the "I+" rating remain unchanged.
