Photo Moderation Principles
Information and quality rating of the photo
11.1. Photographs are evaluated according to two criteria: 1. Informational value. 2. Quality. 11.2. There are three possible ratings for the informational value criterion: Low ("–", minus). Average (basic) level ("•", dot). High ("+", plus). There are two possible ratings based on the criterion of quality: Negative ("–", minus). Positive ("+", plus). 11.3. A special assessment outside the criteria is also possible — "Photo not suitable for publication." It is given to the following photos: — Not suitable for the site in terms of subject matter. — Uploaded in violation of copyright. — Files with an incorrect format. — Without at least an approximate date of shooting. — With unacceptable low image quality (even for a "K–" rating). — Photos with an unfilled shooting location field (exceptions are made only for old photos) and an unspecified shooting angle of the vehicle. 11.4. The photo moderator's tools are as follows: ![]() 11.5. The assessment of informational value is explained in additional articles at the bottom of the page. 11.7. A photo may be held back if the photo moderator considers that the flaws they have identified are easy to fix; if corrected, the photo may be rated significantly higher. |
