16. Shooting location
16.1. These rules for text design of photos are common and mandatory for the entire site. Detailed rules
for signing for each country can be found at the link at the end of this page.
16.2. The system of geographical structure of the site consists of regions and/or cities of each country.
Pages of cities and regions are being created taking into account the features of administrative division
in each country, in some countries instead of the city may be used urban districts, or only regions.
Correct signature is needed for correct sorting and easy search of photos.
16.2.1. If the photo is taken within the city limits, then in the "City of shooting" field, this city is selected,
and in the "Place of shooting" field, only the street/prospect/alley/passage, and so on is written.

16.2.2. If the photo is taken outside the city limits and any other settlement, then in the "City of
shooting" field, the region is selected, and in the "Place of shooting" field, first the district of the region
is written, then the road. Examples below:
Harrison County, I 20
16.2.3. If the photo is taken within the boundaries of a settlement that does not have the status of a city
(and therefore does not appear on the map as a separate city), then the region is selected in the "City of
the photo" field, and the district of the region, the name of the settlement (with the indication of the
administrative status, whether it is a settlement, village, or rural area), and then the road are written in
the "Place of the photo" field. This rule is enforced only in some selected countries, check for regional
rules.
16.2.4. If the photograph was taken in a city or other populated area located within a single urban
agglomeration, select the main city in the "City of shooting" field and enter the name of the
city/populated area in the "Place of shooting" field, followed by the other place names in the same
order. Examples:
Forcheim, Adenauerallee
Boston, Cambridge Street
16.3. The "Location" field is filled in the language of the country where the photo was taken. It is
allowed to use Russian in the Republic of Belarus as a second language.
16.4. If the bus is located at an equipped turnaround site, it is allowed to use the name of the
turnaround site instead of the street name, according to the local terminology. However, the name of
the turnaround site must be official. The name of the turnaround site is indicated in quotation marks.

16.5. If it is impossible to unambiguously determine the name of the street, or if there is no street (for
example, a bus is taken in the middle of a field), the place of shooting is indicated by the nearest
toponyms. It is not allowed to upload photos without a place of shooting, an exception can only be
made for old photos.
16.6. Photos taken in the adjacent territory (side passage, yard area) are signed as the nearby street,
without additions. Photos taken in parking lots far from the streets are signed with the name of the
building to which it is adjacent, without specifying the street. Example:

16.7. The name of the location is indicated at the time of the photo. In the case of renaming, the new
name is indicated only under the photo taken after the renaming, and the link with the old name is
carried out through the tool "Renamed shooting location" by city editors, or general editors.
16.8. In the case where the bus is on the turn from one street to another, or the conjugation of two
streets, you can specify the names of both streets through a slash "/". In this case, the first should be the
street from which the bus is moving, the second — to which. Spaces before and after the slash are
mandatory. If the bus passes the intersection in a straight line, it is not necessary to indicate the name
of the street crossed, as the bus is not moving along it. Example:

16.9. For photos of the salons, plates and other separate parts of the bus, the place of shooting is not
specified.
16.10. The caption of the place of shooting should begin with a capital letter, at the end of the signature
full stop is not needed. Abbreviations of words are not allowed (street -> St; square -> Sq).
17. Route
17.1. The "Route" field indicates the route number to which the bus is attached at the time of filming. The bus is following the route, is at the final stop between trips, is on its way to or from the park, or is idling on the line due to a technical malfunction or accident. Only the actual route work is taken into account, and custom trips along the route are not considered, and the route string remains empty in such cases. A route is considered to be a public transportation of passengers along an established route. A route can be legal (have an entry in the regular route registry, or have other contracts with the local government), it can be illegal, and it can either have a number or not have one. Therefore, service pickups (even if the fact of transporting a person who is not affiliated with the company is known), and custom trips are not considered routes. "Pickup", "Custom", and "Break-in" should be indicated in the note.
17.2. Any extraneous symbols that are displayed on the bus's electronic display are not included in the route string, only the actual regular, public route.
17.3. It is necessary to specify the official route number, even if the bus's route indicator contradicts it. If it is impossible to determine the route that the bus is on, the "route" field remains empty. The route can be determined using the electronic display, the stencil, navigation, and indirect signs. There may be cases where the information on the display and the stencil is incorrect. If it is reliably known that the vehicle is following a different route, then a different route should be specified.
17.4. In order to ensure that different routes with the same number do not overlap on the same city's page, and to make it clear when a route ends outside the city, it is necessary to divide routes into several categories. In the website's understanding, there are four options for marking a route on a photo:
In-city — the starting point and the ending point of the route are within the city of A, and the bus is bound to the city of A. In this case, only the route number is written. If there is no route number, then the two endpoints are written. Example of a signature: 32; School — Bus Station. Rule applies to all countries.
In-city external — the starting point and the ending point of the route are located within the city of A, while the bus is tied to the city of B. In this case, the route number and the city are indicated in parentheses after the route number. If there is no route number, the endpoints and the city are indicated in parentheses. Example of a signature: 42 (Lyubertsy); School — Bus Station (Ryazan). Rule applies to all countries.
Inter-city — one of the endpoints is located within the city of the bus's binding city A, while the other endpoint is located outside the city of the bus's binding city, in the city of B. In this case, the city of the bus's binding city is indicated after the route number. Example of a signature: 482v Saint Petersburg — Kas'kovo, Novy Urengoy — Syvdarma. Rule applies to Russia.
Inter-city external — the endpoints are located in the cities of A and B, and the bus is tied to the city of C. If the route is inter-regional, the locality that is located in the same region as the city of the bus's binding city is placed at the beginning. For example, if the cities of B and C are located in the same region, then the city of B is written first, followed by the city of A. If the route does not extend beyond the region of the locality of the bus's binding city, or if it is entirely located in another region, then the endpoints are indicated according to the order in the official route registry of the region. If there is no access to the registry, then the larger locality is indicated first. Example of a signature: 67 Golitsyno — Sharapovo. Rule applies to Russia.
17.4.2. The route is signed in the language of the country of the bus's binding city. If there are multiple official languages, then the national language is selected. An international route is signed in the language of the city of the bus's binding city.
17.4.3. In cases where the route ends outside the city of the bus's binding city, only the localities are indicated, without specifying specific endpoints (except for cases described in paragraph 17.4.5).
17.4.4. A dash (—) is placed between the two endpoints.
17.4.5. The endpoints of the route are determined based on the actual route diagram. If the route ends exactly at the border between two localities, then the official route registry should be used.
17.4.6. It is allowed to indicate stops on individual routes in the notes.
17.5. A circular route falls under the first two options for signing routes specified in paragraph 17.4.
17.6. The direction of the route that the bus is following during the photo does not matter, the route is always written in the same way regardless of the direction.
17.7. If the locality A is located within the boundaries of the locality B (city within a city), the locality B is considered to be the priority, accordingly, the route from city A to city B is signed according to the first or second option specified in paragraph 17.4.
The "not on route" checkbox
17.8. In the understanding of the site, the bus is on the route throughout the entire shift. The only exception is the evacuation to the park by technical assistance.
17.8.1. The "not on route" checkbox is used when the bus is on duty but is not on a route — park route, parking at the final stop, downtime on the line with a malfunction, inter-route refueling.
17.8.2. When switching between routes (if such a switch is known), the default route is the route that the bus was following before the switch. If the display is already switched to the next route, then the route that the bus will travel after the switch is indicated. Information about the switch can be indicated in the
18. Note
18.1. Note (to the right of the "route" field) is used to indicate bus activities that are not related to the
route. For example, "test drive", "fan trip".
18.2. Note is not used to indicate bus display labels.
19. Description
19.1. The description is needed for the author's explanations to the photo, with a size of about 200
letters (it is better to publish especially large explanations in comment section).
19.2. In the description, you can specify a significant event in the photo (the first/last day of the
bus/route), a round number of the author's photos, an artistic photo caption.
19.3. The content of the description is subject to the rules specified in paragraph 5.2.
19.4. The text in the description is written with a capital letter, and the sentences end with a period. The
text must be written according to the rules of the language.
