Photo Publication Criteria
General photomoderation regulations
10.1. Photographs are accepted in accordance with clauses 2.1. — 2.1.5. 10.2. Photographs are selected based on a combination of criteria relating to informativeness and quality. 10.3. Photographs must be clear, moderately sharp, without excessive noise, with a level horizon, normal brightness levels (selected primarily based on the lighting of the vehicle), contrast, and saturation, without noticeable dirt on the camera's sensor/lens, and without other image defects. 10.3.1. The sharpness of photos is determined by previously published photos, allowing for moderate differences in photo processing algorithms. We strongly recommend compressing photos yourself using special processing programs. Photos taken before 2010 are subject to quality concessions. 10.3.2. Artistic techniques such as "blurring in motion" are permitted, provided that the vehicle itself is not blurred. 10.3.3. Modern photos that attract increased interest may be subject to quality concessions. The decision to accept such photos on the site is made by the administration on an individual basis. 10.4. The vehicle should not be tightly cropped in the corner of the frame and should fit entirely within the frame (for photos that are linked only to the vehicle profile), and should not be obstructed by any objects or people. Exceptions are photos taken at exhibitions and in bus depots. 10.5. The minimum width of a modern photo is at least 1024 pixels. 10.6. The photo must be taken by you, or you must have permission from the author to publish it. Permission must be provided in the form of a screenshot upon request by the administration. Any nonauthored photo may only be published with the note "I am not the author of this photo." 10.7. Large captions (copyright notices) on photos are not welcome; if they are present, publication may be refused. 10.8. Excessive retouching is not allowed: retouching over the vehicle (except for concealing the identity of the driver/passengers), altering the actual shooting conditions (unrealistic color changes in the photo, pasting in surrounding objects, removing surrounding objects). However, "author's style" processing is allowed, but within reasonable limits. 10.9. The final decision is made based on the opinion of the photo moderator. In the future, if there are enough moderators, the decision will be made based on the opinion of three moderators or one senior moderator. If necessary, the administrator has the right to review the decision on any photo. |
